The economic administrator module of the PolicyLinks system provides system administrators with the capability of making changes to the economic forecasts that are used to extrapolate all of system's databases in order to keep them current with economic activity.

The database for this module includes a set of targets that drive the extrapolations for each module. The following list includes some of the economic variables that drive database extrapolation:

• Projections of employment and earnings by industry
• Population growth by age cohort
• Personal income projections
• Interest, dividends and rent projections
• Consumer Price Index (CPI) projections
• Total amounts and distributions of key income and expense items by income class
• Unemployment rate projections

Our user interface allows the user to select, edit and save targets for three economic forecasts -- baseline, low growth and high growth. The user can then send jobs to the backend calculation engine to generate all of the "weights" and "blowup factors" that are needed to extrapolate each system database. It has been our experience that some clients do not want to be involved with performing this function. If preferred, we are happy to be the economic administrator for our clients.
